The Animagus
I awoke in the dream standing in the kitchen of my childhood home, It was eerily lit by a large black chandelier with long white tapered candles, at the table sat a few men and women speaking in a hushed tone, glancing up now and then as if they were speaking of me, Infront of them stood another man dressed in black 1800s style clothes, a black trench coat, dress pants, dress shirt , top hat and cane staring at me
The dream changed and suddenly I appeared outside of the house, it was pitch black all around with no other light then of the moon high in the sky where I could not see it, off to the side of my vision.
Infront of me appeared a five-foot-tall black shaggy wolf-like dog, it looked like a breed of dog I’ve never seen before, its hair was thick and shiny, it had shades of silver and grey, I could see in its eyes there was a certain intelligence that other dogs would not have.
It growled taking a threatening step towards me, yet just stood studying it, watching its movements to see if it was actually threatening and not just defensive, It stopped and tilted its head slightly in confusion, disbelief clear in its eyes, it looked as though it knew I should be scared of it and was confused as to why I wasn’t… not even slightly, I too wondered why I wasn’t but within I felt a sense that I shouldn’t fear it, that this was a test.
Suddenly The Wolf-Dog charged at me snarling and snapping its jaw to frighten me, I knowing it couldn’t hurt me but might try if only to scare me, turned and took off running around the walkway that fully encircled the house, as I turned each corner hoping it wouldn’t actually attack me, I realized I needed to face the creature, I stopped abruptly shocking it momentarily, It skidded to a sudden stop and I turned on my heals towards it to scolding it for chasing and scaring me, I chastised the beast as It tried to scare me again with a snarl but I just got louder shouting at the top of my lungs and charged at it ready to fight if need be, the creature turned and ran into the darkness of the night, I stood there watching the creature look back quickly as it turned a corner and disappeared, I felt a presence near but as I turn my attention I suddenly woke and the “dream” ended.
